Rebranding

From a focused refresh to a complete reinvention.

Rebranding is the right call when your business has outgrown the brand it launched with — new audience, new product, new geography, a merger, a category move. We start with an audit that diagnoses why the current brand is leaving value on the table, then move into repositioning, an identity refresh or full rebuild, and a rollout plan that keeps your team aligned through the transition. The goal is not novelty; it's a brand that earns its keep in the next decade.

How we work

  1. 01

    Brand audit

A diagnostic of the current brand against your business goals, customers and competition. We surface what's working, what's costing you and where the highest-leverage moves are.

  2. 02

    Repositioning

New positioning, refreshed story and a clear articulation of who you serve now and what you stand for. Aligned with leadership in a working session, documented for the team.

  3. 03

    Refresh or rebuild

Refresh keeps the equity that's working (often the logo, the name) and rebuilds the system around it. Rebuild is a full reset — new visual system, sometimes a new name.

  4. 04

    Transition plan

A rollout calendar covering internal launch, customer communications, product, packaging, retail and digital. We work with your team to sequence what changes and when.

Common questions

MAZE Studio is a branding and design studio in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, working with companies across Central Asia in English, Russian and Uzbek.

Will we lose brand equity?

Not if we get the audit right. Discovery identifies which equity is worth keeping (often the name, the symbol, a specific color) and which is dragging the brand. We retain what works and rebuild around it.

Can we rebrand without renaming?

Yes — most rebrands keep the name. Renaming is a separate decision driven by clear strategic reasons (legal conflicts, expansion to new geographies, distancing from a past episode).

How do we communicate the change to customers?

The transition plan covers exactly that — a sequenced communication calendar, internal launch first, then customer-facing rollout with email, social, in-product, retail and PR coordinated.

What about our existing collateral?

We inventory it during discovery and prioritise replacement: high-visibility touchpoints first (web, packaging, retail), then long-tail materials replaced as natural reprint cycles happen. Minimises waste.
