About the project
Hocolate is a confectionery store positioned as the 'Home of Chocolate'. The project involved developing a complete visual brand identity: logo, lettering, typography, and brand color palette. The name 'Hocolate' is a naming strategy integrated into the logo: the capital 'H' expands into 'Home of Chocolate', transforming the word itself into the brand positioning. This is a rare technique where the brand name and its promise become a single statement. Customers intuitively recognize the connection: Hocolate is not just a store, it's a home you want to return to for your favorite chocolate. The logo is built on golden calligraphic lettering with smooth, confident strokes—evoking the feeling of handcrafted work, warmth, and confectioner's expertise. The golden gradient from amber to warm bronze references cocoa beans, caramel, and the gold of premium candy packaging. Against a deep dark blue background—almost black, like bitter chocolate—the gold shines like a jewelry store display, creating a sense of occasion even in an ordinary purchase. White, austere sans-serif 'HOME OF CHOCOLATE' with wide tracking serves as the positioning anchor: it balances the luxury of calligraphy with clarity and legibility, establishing a equilibrium between festivity and accessibility.
Results
Created a warm and luxurious visual identity that distinguishes the store among typical confectioneries and establishes a sense of a special place. The identity works confidently on signage, packaging, window displays, and social media, transforming every purchase into a small celebration.
