About the project

Povolzhsky Diesel Plant (PDZ) is a subsidiary of a Russian manufacturer specializing in the production of spare parts for industrial diesel locomotives and diesel engines. The project involved developing a complete visual brand identity: logo, mark, typography, and corporate color palette. The mark is built on three dynamic diagonal stripes inscribed in a circle. The composition reads as a turbine cross-section, piston group movement, and flywheel rotation—a visual language understood by any engineer in the industry. The circle defines the form of a closed cycle: production, supply, operation—the complete lifecycle of a component under the control of a single enterprise. The blue arc and gray concentric stripes enhance the sense of rotation and mechanical precision—key characteristics of precision components for diesel locomotive engines. Dark blue is the standard for industrial and engineering positioning: reliability, technological discipline, and corporate integrity. The orange accent conveys energy, the heat of a working engine, and the power of industrial production. Bold technical sans-serif in the acronym "PDZ" functions as industrial marking—clear, legible, without unnecessary details. This is exactly how the brand of a company whose components operate under extreme stress should look. The logo performs reliably across corporate documentation, production packaging, workwear, vehicles, and B2B digital channels.
