About the project

Davlat va Huquq Instituti — Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The project encompassed the development of an official logo and institutional mark. The mark is built upon an eight-pointed star, a traditional element of Uzbek ornamental art that simultaneously reads as a symbol of statehood, academic tradition, and cultural identity. Within the star are placed scales of justice and a quill — two key symbols reflecting the institute's mission: legal research and the development of legislative thought. The scales embody balance, justice, and the rule of law; the quill represents scholarly inquiry, analysis, and the power of the written word in legal science. Deep blue is a universal language of state and academic institutions: it conveys authority, trust, intellect, and stability. A rigorous antique typeface in the organizational name reinforces the sense of academic substance and official status. The logo is executed in two layouts — vertical and horizontal — for correct application on official letterhead, seals, publications, building façades, and digital media of the institute.
